Report to Hell
"Where the worm dieth not and the fires won't be quenched"
A Brief (Already It's Too Long) History of Report to Hell
Back in the 90s (almost 100 years ago), Report to Hell was first published (self-published, that is, by MaxRat Press) on copy paper (we might have even called it typewriter paper back then). We were part of the zine scene. All us kids were doing it. RTH (commonly called) was a literary zine, as we were a bunch of erudite, uh, literary guys and gals. The zine contained the pre-requisite clip-art (and original art), obscure quotes and, of course, poetry and short stories. It started off well enough; we even got listed in FactSheet Five (not the Gunderloy years, but the Friedman ones). We started to tank after accepting outside submissions from folks we didn't know. Mostly rubbish (no small feat considering the low bar we set for our own work). All right, enough of this. Cut to 2025 and we're back. But only online (it's better this way what with a chance a solar fare could wipe out all internet content). I doubt anyone will read this besides the original editors and writers. And even then...
